I was raised in Washington DC and studied anthropology at Northern Arizona University. I worked as a Forest Service archaeologist in Southeast Alaska, then quit my job to sea kayak the Inside Passage from Ketchikan to Seattle, where I've lived ever since. I spend way too much time thinking about images while drinking strong coffee, long-distance backpacking, walking my dog and stand-up paddling. I try and spend the rest of it with my family and friends.
About my work: primarily landscapes of the American West and with an interest in how humans and natural environment intersect. Influences: my Mom, abstract expressionist painters, minimalism and the ordinary.
